What to Expect in This Role
As a Junior Project Manager, you will be trained to work independently as a project leader, taking operational responsibility for specific projects at sites in the Ghent region. Initially, your focus will be on the daily follow-up of administrative and financial processes, including reporting. Gradually, you will take on more operational and commercial tasks for various sites. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing project administration (from order to invoicing) and preparing reports
- Ensuring efficient allocation of personnel and resources on-site
- Assisting with budget monitoring
- Supervising employees over time and acting as the point of contact for issues such as planning, absences, and problem-solving, using a coaching approach
- Promoting safety as our top priority by enforcing safety regulations and addressing non-compliance
- Organizing site meetings and ensuring follow-up on requirements, client specifications, and instructions from the business unit manager
- Actively contributing to improvement initiatives to deliver the best service to our clients
Are You the Colleague We’re Looking For?
- You hold a technical bachelor’s degree or have equivalent experience (recent graduates are welcome)
- You have an analytical mindset and enjoy solving problems
- You are flexible in terms of tasks and working hours
- You can multitask effectively and handle stress well
- You have strong administrative skills
- You communicate fluently in Dutch, English, and French, both verbally and in writing
- You are proficient in Excel
- You hold a VCA certificate or are willing to obtain one soon
- You live near Ghent
