What can you expect from this role?
As a junior project manager, you will have the opportunity to independently lead challenging scaffolding projects within the petrochemical sector. Initially, we provide extensive support and guidance to help you quickly grow in your role. You will start by focusing on administrative and financial follow-up, including reporting. As you gain more experience, you will have the chance to expand your responsibilities to operational and commercial tasks.
Your responsibilities include:
- Daily project administration from start to invoicing, including reporting
- Efficient deployment of people and resources on-site
- Budget monitoring
- Leading employees and solving problems with a coaching approach
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and addressing employees if necessary
- Organizing site meetings and following up on work instructions
- Actively contributing to improvement projects to optimally serve the client
Required competencies and why they are important:
- Project monitoring: Experience in monitoring project progress is essential to ensure everything runs according to plan and stays within budget.
- Problem-solving: Quickly and effectively identifying and solving problems is important to prevent delays and additional costs.
- Communication: Good communication skills are needed to clearly and effectively discuss with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Leadership: Although we do not expect extensive experience, it is important that you can demonstrate the skills to lead and motivate a team. This is crucial for achieving project goals and creating a positive work environment.
Do you have an analytical mindset and get energy from daily problem-solving?
Can you multitask smoothly and are you stress-resistant?
Are you administratively strong and have a good knowledge of MS Office (Excel)
Are you a fluent communicator and can you manage in Dutch, English, and French?
Do you have a VCA certificate or are you willing to obtain it in the short term?
